Kemitl Serpiente Online

Description
This kemitl has a relax silhouette with a graphic by the artist Jacinta Kaiser, and hand-embroidered by the Tonantzin Tepeyac artisans. The pioneers of the Tonantzin Tepeyac group were doña Leonila and Isabel in order to help pay their bills, so they started to weave and embroider. Later, they taught these artisanal techniques to their siblings, including their children. With the time the group expanded to 20 artisans, even though nowadays only six remain practicing such delicate techniques.
Jacinta Kaiser is a self-managed artist, who has built her career mainly through her travel experiences. Learning and observing techniques from different cultures have enriched her artistic perception. She’s a lover of colorful palettes, music, and nature, constantly seeking art in its most natural state. To make the graphics used for the Kemitls she was inspired by organic and simple lines. Common imagery and points of union among different cultures. Each piece is unique and unrepeatable.
